• Personality: Emil is cocky, arrogant, and a complete coward. If you can think of it, Emil is probably afraid of it, and he'll do his damnedest to stay as far away from it as possible! See, Emil isn't about to put himself in any danger, no sir, he likes things the way they are right now - him alive and healthy. He talks big and acts like he own the place, throwing about slurs of extreme prejudice against muggleborns, and sometimes even halfbloods. He’s downright unpleasant, unless you enjoy listening to people bitch and moan all the time. He’s childish and likes to pull cruel pranks, having little concern for others or what might happen to them as a result of his own fun. At least, that’s what it would seem like. Deep down he’s actually a pretty caring person, as can be seen at times where he’ll go to the owlery to hang out with Charlotte, and in the events that he should end up putting someone in the Hospital Wing, he’ll make sure to check on their progress… as secretly as possible.

He has sort of an obsession with snails and slugs, you could say. The slug-vomiting hex is probably one of his most favourite spells to use for pranks, though he does know other tricks. But generally speaking, if snails and slugs show up in places they really shouldn't be - such as in your hair or clothes - Emil is probably the one behind it.

Despite his childish nature and overwhelming amount of fears, he actually has his future all planned out! See, he wants to work as a magizoologist - or the ministry of magic, if you ask him about it - has his eyes set on a certain girl he wants to marry, wants to have two children - a boy and a girl - and, of course, to become famous. He hasn't really realized yet just how hard work all of that is going to be, but the determination, at least, is there.

• Background: Emil is from a Scandinavian pureblood family, among which most of the members have attended Durmstrang in the past. However, Emil being the cowardly child that he was - and still is - was always afraid of the school, as he said "they're all really scary people" and thus threw a tantrum about not wanting to go. After many failed attempts to convince their son that Durmstrang was a good school, and that he would be fine, his parents finally gave up and sent him off to live with his uncle, whom had made his home in a small town in England. To be quite honest, they had grown rather tired of his antics overall, which was possibly more so the deciding factor than his fear of the school itself. After all, waking up with snails on your face gets old pretty fast.

Emil found this life particularly boring, especially since it lacked the parties and the cake that he was so used to, but at the same time the town felt safe, given that nothing ever happened there. Not to mention, his uncle was rarely ever there - always at work. He had been nine at the time he moved in with his uncle, which gave him a year and a half to mess around with the local children, making a name for himself as "that one weird kid with the snail obsession" before he finally turned 11. Being from a pureblood family, the letter from Hogwarts was much expected, bringing along with it much joy and relief for everyone - especially the townspeople and their kids, although they did not know the nature of the letter, all they knew was that he would be leaving for a boarding school.

As for his school supplies, Emil's uncle decided to take him to London on one of his few days off, in order to spend some quality time together while gathering all the materials needed to start his experience at the school. As you would probably expect, Emil found this to be entirely too boring, sneaking off to explore Diagon Alley on his own. He soon came upon the pet shop, wandering inside as he was fascinated by the animals. By the time his uncle found him, the young boy had already made great friends with a female barn owl - affectionately naming her Charlotte. As he would need a pet in any case, his uncle bought him the owl. There would have been quite a ruckus, otherwise, and well... why not get him an animal he liked?

His trip on the train to Hogwarts was spent asking far too many questions of his fellow passengers, as well as far too much nose wrinkling when he learned that some of them were muggleborns. He probably moves seats about ten times, until he found a nice spot together with other purebloods, with whom he easily made friends - most likely for no other reason than, simply, they were all purebloods with similar beliefs and upbringings. After the train ride, which had taken far too long according to young Emil, it was finally time for the sorting ceremony. Emil already knew which house he wanted to be in "Slytherin" and sure enough, that was where he was sorted, and where he would spend the rest of his days at the school - annoying his fellow students and looking down upon those of lower blood purity than himself.

Slug-Vomiting Hex - Causes the victim to vomit slugs uncontrollably for several hours. A favorite of the immature and chronically unemployed.

Obscuro - Creates a blindfold over a victim's eyes. It may be physically or magically removed.

Tarantallegra - Causes the victim to dance uncontrollably until dispelled, which can prove highly inconvenient for clumsy or unsuspecting individuals.

Impedimenta - Impedes the progress of a target in a variety of ways - depending on the skill of the caster, it may range from tripping and harassing to binding, knocking back, and even paralyzing the victim.

Silencio - Silences the victim, preventing any form of vocalization. Can be used to disrupt powerful magic that requires a verbal component.

Well see, he USED TO have this really cute Owl named Charlotte, and he'll pretend as if she's still there... but nobody actually knows where she is. She sort of just didn't come back one time after he tried to send a letter home. Maybe she died. Maybe she got lost. In any case, Emil is heartbroken over her disappearance and refuses to get another pet.
